Meet the SSCIT Board

Charisma Henderson, LMHC, ATR
SSCIT Board Member
I have been serving the SSCIT Board of Directors since 2022. I graduated from Lesley University, in 2010, with a Master’s in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. I worked in community mental health, a psychiatric hospital, and at a therapeutic after school program before finding my way into private practice.
In my private practice, I really love supporting people on their parenting journey. More specifically on helping them improve communication skills and boundary setting with those around them. Supporting them in becoming the parents they want to be and understanding how they were parented impacts them as people and parents themselves.
I am always working to expand my education and understanding of marginalized communities/identities and strive to share that knowledge as I go. I believe there is a right and wrong side when it comes to human rights and work to always be standing on the right side.
When I’m not working or wrangling my kids you will likely find me doing some sort of crafty thing including, but not limited to, knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking, collaging, or doodling.
