The Heart's Playce
Formally trained as an expressive arts therapist at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I have spent the last 19 years integrating my love for the arts with my passion for healing the injured hearts of adults and children -- in particular, hearts that have been injured through neglect and abuse. Through the years I have gained a deeper understanding of the attachment issues that can arise from these harmful early childhood experiences and how they can impact relationships far into the future of these individuals. In addition to my professional experience, I bring over 20 years of personal experience in the area of adoption, trauma, loss and attachment issues. I have had the privilege of witnessing the power of the arts and play in the healing process of individuals and their families and believe strongly in the ability of play and the arts to heal.
