About My Practice
Riverdell Therapy and Wellness

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing compassionate, integrative psychotherapy for adults navigating life transitions, chronic or serious medical illness, grief and loss, caregiver or career stress, and the deeper questions of meaning that often arise during difficult stages of life. My therapeutic style is warm, reflective, and collaborative, creating a safe space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, and reconnect with their strengths and values. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies, narrative therapy, and meaning-centered perspectives, while remaining flexible and responsive to each person’s unique story and goals. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, my practice integrates a broader wellness perspective that honors the importance of nature, reflection, and compassionate self-understanding in the healing process. My professional background includes 20 years of working in medical social work, including dialysis care, where I developed a deep appreciation for the emotional and existential challenges that can accompany illness, caregiving, and major life change. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Salem State University. I also have a certification in Advanced Grief Counseling. I offer individual therapy for adults 18+ and seniors 65+ through both in-person and telehealth sessions, and welcome clients who are seeking a supportive space to process life’s challenges, cultivate resilience, and rediscover a sense of meaning and purpose. At this time my practice is private pay. I am actively working toward credentialing with several insurance plans and anticipate accepting insurance in the near future.
