Erin Harris is a licensed Mental Health Counselor with ten years of experience working with children and families. Her experience is comprised of multiple clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient, residential, and most recently intensive home based therapy. Erin was previously employed at Bridgewater University as an academic advisor and counselor and currently remains on staff as a visiting lecturer in the Counselor Education Department. She received her clinical training at McLean Hospital working in both the adult and adolescent inpatient programs.

For the last five years Erin has been employed at Bay State Community Services as an in home family therapist (IHT) providing outreach services to children and families in crisis. Her clinical experience extends to areas of trauma, those suffering with mental and emotional disorders, chemical dependency, divorce, and loss. Erin currently serves as the Program Director overseeing services provided to children and families involved with the Department of Mental Health. In this role she continues to support families through providing care coordination, family systems intervention, and supervision of services. She also co-facilitates a weekly social skills group for children ages 8-12.

Erin utilizes multiple therapeutic approaches with her clients including play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family systems. Her goal is to develop a personalized treatment plan customized to the need of each individual client.

Erin earned her BA in Psychology from Assumption College and her ME.d in Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State College.

Special Interests: Children, adolescents, anxiety, depression, transitional age issues, self-esteem, relational issues.
