Special Interests:
Anxiety disorders, Assertiveness training, Depression, Diabetes and other chronic illnesses, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, PTSD, Adoption, Stress Management, Women’s Issues. Mother/Daughter relationships. Working with Veterans who are suffering from PTSD. I volunteer at the Scituate Animal Shelter walking dogs and have paired Veterans with therapy dogs to help comfort them and ease their anxiety.
Therapeutic Style:
I am an easy going person who is straight forward in my therapeutic approach and believe in reciprocal conversations to aid in the therapeutic process. I have 20 plus years of experience working with people of all age ranges. I use a psychodynamic approach combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy. I work along side my therapy dog, Daisy Mei, who is a Shih-Tzu. She does not shed and loves everyone. She is a dog B.O.N.E.S. therapy dog, a Canine Good Citizen and a Reading Partners Dog.
