In his work as an Expressive Arts Therapist, Adam utilizes the arts, play, and artistic expression in order to build rapport, generate positive relationships, discuss difficult topics and feelings in a contained and gentle manner, teach positive coping skills, and enhance meaningful life lessons. As a life-long learner, he aspires to teach and supervise. Adam cherishes those moments when he is moved by colleagues and clients through stories of resilience, humility, and perseverance.

About My Practice
Adam Riccio Counseling
Services
Individual counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. Parent and caregiver consultation. Consultations with a variety of systems including schools and agencies.
With a relational, strength-based, systems-oriented approach, I infuse play therapy, expressive therapy, and talk therapy techniques to assist clients and their families through a multitude of personal and interpersonal issues while building upon discovered and inherent strengths through the course of treatment. I love to find the playful side of everyone whom I interact with and find it to be a wonderful way in which to build relationships, teach skills, and create meaningful moments.
Special Interests: Social and communication issues, high functioning autism, mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, ODD, and behavioral issues, adjustment and attachment issues, grief and loss and parenting and caregiver assistance.
Therapeutic Style: Strength focused, relational and client-centered psychotherapy work using expressive therapy, play therapy and talk therapy.
